Excellence in Local Government Leadership Program (Australia and New Zealand School of Government)

The inaugural 2010 Excellence in Local Government Leadership Program (ELGLP) will be held in Melbourne from the 22nd November to the 10th December at the Melbourne Business School. The ELGLP aims to stretch the intellectual boundaries of its participants and build the strategic leadership capability of local governments across Australia and New Zealand.

LGMA WA Women in Local Government Conference

This conference will be held at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough on the 3-4 June 2010 has a program full of successful local government practitioners and private sector leaders who will provide valuable insights into positive leadership practices and tips on how to manage and succeed in your career.

An eight-day leadership program which offers women at middle management level the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and self-confidence required to undertake and excel in leadership roles within their organisations. Outcomes will include: development of high level communication, leadership and performance development skills, ability to deal successfully with conflict situations and heightened self-awareness in interpersonal and group situations.
